Mindfulness Stress Reduction for Teachers (MSRT) Online Course
If you are suffering from stress, anxiety or Burnout, our online Mindfulness course will give you strategies to cope at school and to wind down at home.
Mindfulness has been shown to improve mental ill-health. It helps you to live in the present, rather than regretting the past or worrying about the future. It also slows your breathing and heart rate, enabling you to feel calm. While it is described as meditation, it can be practised anywhere, in any position and for any length of time.
This Mindfulness Stress Reduction for Teachers (MSRT) online course can be used by support staff as well as teachers. It has been specially written by Suneta Bagri and Steve Waters, co-founders of Teach Well Toolkit, to tailor it to the context of everyone teaching and working in schools. Suneta and Steve both practise Mindfulness. Suneta finds it helps her to manage the stress of leading an AP school as a headteacher, while Steve has used Mindfulness to manage the symptoms of Bi-Polar Disorder, alongside medication.
