What is the Mental Health Lead Toolkit?

The 'Mental Health Lead Toolkit' is a step-by-step process of building a whole-school culture of staff wellbeing and mental health. It is set out like a course, in 'lessons' on a learning platform called 'Heights'. It can be used by someone who has never led whole-school change, as well as by more experienced staff. We incorporate the Mental Health Lead Toolkit into our DfE fully- funded Senior Mental Health Lead training.

The Mental Health Lead Toolkit can also be purchased separately if your school has attended DfE Senior Mental Health Lead training with another provider.

What experience does Teach Well Toolkit have of staff wellbeing and mental health?

We are both qualified teachers with over 60 years' combined experience in primary and secondary education and have substantial experience in leading whole-school change.

* Suneta is a serving Primary Headteacher. Steve taught for 30 years in secondary schools, followed by 6 years as a secondary consultant in two local authorities. Steve was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder in 2008, after experiencing several serious episodes of depression during his career. He understands at first-hand the challenges of teaching with mental ill-health. Fortunately, with appropriate treatment, he has been well since his diagnosis.

* We have been approved by the DfE to deliver the fully-funded Senior Mental Health Lead Course (More details at: https://teachwellall.samcart.com/products/senior-mental-health-lead-training). We are both Mental Health First Aid Instructors. Suneta is a Bereavement Counsellor and Wellbeing and Mental Health Coach. Steve is a BAC approved Counsellor. We are both Fellows of the Chartered College of Teaching. We are therefore ideally placed to provide support while you are leading whole-school change in staff wellbeing and mental health in your school.

* We are driven by the belief that, unless staff wellbeing and mental health are given priority, staff will be unable to support their pupils effectively and run the risk of being overwhelmed by the demands of teaching.

What is the cost of the Mental Health Lead Toolkit?

The Mental Health Lead Toolkit costs a one-off fee of £349 (No VAT) for 12 months. You can renew at the end of the 12 months or upgrade to Teach Well Toolkit School Membership, with the Mental Health Lead Toolkit included in the membership fee.
